Salary: £31,736 - £53,851 p.a. including London Allowance

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Research Fellow in the Department of Clinical Neuroscience within the Division of Neuroscience and Mental Health, based at the Charing Cross Campus. The Clinical Research Fellow will work with Professor Adolfo Bronstein and Professor Michael Gresty. Their research has a broad remit of basic science and clinical studies into the factors responsible for developing chronic vertigo, spatial disorientation and balance disorders from clinical, neurophysiological, autonomic and psychological perspectives. The team involves an established, interdisciplinary group of physicians, scientists and engineers with excellent laboratory facilities and technical support. Much of the work relies on the ability to simulate environments which challenge balance and spatial orientation with the use of flight and motion simulators. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing a career in neurology, neuro-otology or audiological medicine and will wish to strengthen their training by experience in clinical research. This is an excellent opportunity to work towards a higher degree and full support will be given. Applicants must hold a medical degree. The successful candidate will be issued with an honorary NHS clinical contract to assist Professor Bronstein in his neurology and neuro-otology clinics, at Charing Cross Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. This post partially fulfils the requirements for specialist training.
