Applications invited for Research Registrar Position in Vascular Neurology

Applications are invited for the post of Research Registrar in Vascular Neurology to Dr. Dominick McCabe at the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, Dublin, Incorporating the National Children’s’ Hospital (AMNCH) /Trinity College Dublin, commencing July 1st 2011.

The successful applicant will be involved in the active local, national and international research programme at AMNCH and Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, coordinated by Dr McCabe. He/she will be expected to complete a supervised Translational Research Project in Cerebrovascular Disease, with the opportunity to pursue a PhD in Neurological Studies.

Applicants will receive subspecialty training in the management of patients with TIA, stroke, asymptomatic carotid stenosis and other neurological disorders, and have the opportunity to participate in the neurology on-call rota at AMNCH.

Applicants must possess MRCPI / MRCP or equivalent by July 1st 2011, be eligible for registration with the Irish Medical Council, and be committed to a career in neurology or vascular medicine.
